Carol Flannery, of Carolyn Rivers Designs, is a native of New Orleans, designing lampwork beaded jewelry and stained and etched glass. With her rich experience of New Orleans, she designs jewelry to commemorate the famous Cajun and Creole cuisine of the Crescent City.
She is known for her chili pepper, red beans and rice and coffee beignet and fleur de lis designs. Carol uses lampworking techniques using a torch at 2500 degrees to shape each individual glass bead.
Her 25 plus years experience in custom stained glass enhances the architecture and historic and modern style homes. In addition to Dutch Alley Artist's Co-op, her work can also be seen at galleries such as The New Orleans Glassworks and Printmaking Studio in the warehouse district and Nuance Contemporary Gallery in the River Bend.
