“As the days lengthen, jewelry artist, Kiki Huston is inspired to bring color to her work, as she reflects on the natural world emerging around us. Her work is crafted primarily of sterling silver, vitreous, enamel and gems. Her pieces represent - directly and indirectly - our sub, tropical climate”
About the Artist -
I fell in love with silver in my teenage years, sitting alongside my father as he created in our home workshop. Today, I fabricate my jewelry, using tools I inherited from him. I am primarily self-taught, and have learned much from trial, error and sheer determination.Life in New Orleans provides constant inspiration. Our architecture, lush, vegetation, and many rich traditions find their way into my work, and while not always directly representational, a reflective of the soul of New Orleans.
